About the role
The Senior ServiceNow Principal Architect, Assure Smart Apps is a dynamic, hands-on technical leader responsible for guiding the design, development, and delivery of insurance Assure Smart Apps on the ServiceNow platform. This role is strategic for advancing DXC’s Smart App fast moving insurance portfolio which includes cutting-edge AI technologies and innovative solutions. The architect collaborates closely with solution architects, user experience designers, engineering scrum teams, customer delivery staff, and third-party partners to deliver modern, AI-enabled insurance applications that drive value and accelerate digital transformation for insurers globally.
This architect will be responsible for designs supporting the articulated strategic architectural capabilities which include: Smart App automated provisioning and updates using Terraform; Designs that use a Service Now hosted Assure BPM Toolkit capable of supporting multiple Smart Apps in the same Service Now instance; Designs must be constructed to be multi-tenant and secure; AI must be leveraged wherever possible; Designs must leverage Assures unified architecture with all its layers (orchestration, Assure Cloud, and insurance services).
Articulate the architecture and technical design patterns for Assure Smart Apps on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, Assure unified architecture, DXCs modernization strategy, and ISB.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, product managers, UI/UX designers, solution architects, developers, and customer delivery teams, to define and deliver innovative insurance solutions.
Drive the adoption of best practices in ServiceNow development, integration, and deployment across the organization.
Engage with clients and third-party partners to understand requirements, present technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery of Smart Apps.
Work with UX designers to deliver compelling user experiences.
Mentor and guide engineering teams in implementing architectural standards and ensuring technical excellence to deliver highly usable and efficient insurance solutions.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and ServiceNow platform advancements to inform strategic decisions.
Champion innovation, rapid prototyping, and fail-fast learning across the Smart App ecosystem.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and / or software development life cycles and automated testing.
Extensive experience architecting and developing solutions on the ServiceNow platform, preferably within insurance or financial services.
Proven track record of delivering AI-enabled applications and driving modernization initiatives.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with clients.
Expertise in cloud technologies, application security, and agile software development methodologies.
ServiceNow certifications and experience with insurance product engineering are highly desirable.
Deep expertise in ServiceNow FSO and the broader Now Platform (ITSM, App Engine, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer).
Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and data orchestration best practices.
