Job Description

Position Summary: You will provide sales expertise and account management, leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets for the Service Products in the APJ region of the Thermo Fisher Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). You will maintain effective customer relations, develop opportunities focused on Product Service Agreement growth within an existing customer base, and ensure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

Focus and Responsibilities:

  • Part of the Services Sales team for various CAD Business Units and Product Lines.
  • Partner with Product Sales, Customer Service, and Service Marketing to sell services alongside new equipment sales, post-warranty conversions, and annual contract renewals.
  • Achieve forecasted sales goals for the territory, support other departments, and sell directly to customers.
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements, including communication, responsiveness, cost awareness, and scheduling sensitivities.
  • Maintain and develop an outstanding knowledge of Service products and their applications.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence, and information to management team and other company personnel as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external functions on Service Sales issues and development!
  • Use Salesforce.com daily for updates and notes.
  • Travel overnight approximately 70% of the time.
  • Performance measured on total Services Products sales volume, contract penetration growth, and contract profitability. (Contracts and Spares)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or technical field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, familiarity with or Service background preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the internet.
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven commercial excellence working in a matrix environment.
  • Use of Salesforce.com
