We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager (2IC) to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on position supporting on the floor while assisting the Centre Director in daily operations, team development, and compliance management.

About the Role

As our 2IC, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our service operates smoothly and exceeds expectations. You will:

• Support the Centre Director with day-to-day operations, staffing, and service compliance
• Work on the floor, leading by example and fostering high-quality teaching practices across all rooms
• Mentor and coach educators to deliver play-based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with families and the community
• Uphold the National Quality Standards (NQS) and promote a culture of reflection and improvement

What You’ll Need

• Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
• Working with Children Check (Employee) – VIC requirement
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
• Child Protection / Mandatory Reporting training
• Proven experience in a leadership or mentoring role within early learning
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills
