TrustedHousesitters is a fast growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel.
Here at TrustedHousesitters, we’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. We’ve got big plans on becoming the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. We’ve built something pretty special: a trusted place where pet owners and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world.
We’ve already grown into a global community with members in over 140 countries, a product people genuinely love, and a team of more than 100 brilliant humans powering it all.
But we’re only just getting started. Our goal? To grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.
At the moment, a sit starts every two minutes somewhere on the planet. We want that to be every single minute and we know the only way we’ll get there is with the right people in the right roles.
The right people in the right roles will shape our future. So, here’s the big question: Could that be you?
We’re hiring a Snr Web & CRO Manager to turn cold audiences into customers through engaging, data-led web experiences. We’re very focused on reaching new people who may not know about TrustedHousesitters yet. Clear, personalised website journeys will help them understand what we offer and in time, encourage them to convert.
You’ll work directly in our CMS (Builder.io) and collaborate with Marketing, Product, Design and Engineering to launch, test and refine website experiences that drive more new customers to join our platform.
You’ll thrive here if you love exploring consumer behaviour and turning complex ideas into clear, engaging messages that win over new audiences. This role can make a real difference to our growth – you’ll enjoy it if you draw energy from challenge, regular change and a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
What you’ll do
- Experimentation & Conversion Optimisation: Develop and run experiments across website content to drive uplifts in conversion. This includes hypothesis generation, experiment design, execution, analysing learnings and iteration. You’ll own the CRO experimentation roadmap and build a program that delivers measurable impact.
- Experience Design & Site Optimisation: Shape engaging web experiences that help cold audiences understand and value our proposition. Ensure website performance, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility standards are maintained. Conduct competitive analysis and stay current on industry best practices and emerging CRO trends.
- Capture Inbound Marketing Traffic: Partner with marketing channels to build landing pages and entry experiences that match audience intent. Personalise website journeys to maximise resonance whether it’s their first touch point or they’re almost ready to convert.
- Roadmap Ownership & Prioritisation: Own the marketing website roadmap, collaborating with marketing partners to understand requests and requirements, and collaborating with product and engineering to explore development for capabilities that are not yet self-servable.
- Data Analysis & Implementation: You’ll do your own analytics, and you’ll collaborate with the Data team to spec and implement new tracking (we use Segment) to better understand user behaviour. You’ll need to be confident using BI tools like Looker or Tableau (we use Mode and Amplitude). If you have some experience writing basic SQL, even better.
Who you are
- Web/CRO Proficiency: You have significant demonstrable experience working in Website Conversion Rate Optimisation, Growth Marketing or related fields. You’ve worked extensively with Product and Design to curate engaging and seamless website experiences that have had a measurable impact on conversion rate.
- Technical / CMS Experience: Hands-on experience with website builders and CMS platforms (Builder.io/Prismic experience is a plus) and comfortable working directly with engineers to solve complex technical problems.
- Fluent in Experimentation: You know what great looks like when it comes to rapid experimentation and learning cycles. You’ve run countless experiments before and you can define testing frameworks and approaches that help us scale faster.
- Data Literate: You have a strong grasp of relevant analytics concepts. You know how we can (and can’t) measure user behaviour. You can self-serve, only leaning on the Data team for more complex tasks.
- Excellent Verbal & Written Communicator: You can translate complex domain-specific concepts to non-expert audiences. You understand the level of detail and context that is required for different audiences. You’re able to contribute to C-suite level written analysis of performance.
- T-shaped Marketer: Alongside specialising in your field, you ideally have broad exposure to other areas of marketing, enabling effective collaboration and contribution to multi-channel strategies.
- Commercially Aware: You’re able to understand how a business makes money, and how you and other teams contribute to growing it.
- Thrive in Ambiguity: You’re comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-moving environment that is constantly evolving.
- Driven & Curious: You want to understand how and why things work (or why they don’t). You proactively seek out ways to improve performance, challenge assumptions and strive to take things to the next level.
- Bias to Action and Impact: You value shipping fast over polishing endlessly - not because you cut corners, but because you optimise for learning and iteration.
- Constantly Learning: You’re always seeking to develop your skillset, both within your role and in adjacent areas. You stay up-to-date with recent trends, seeking to operate at the forefront of your field consistently as it evolves.
Bonus if you have
- Experience working in a variety of business environments, particularly within fast paced start/scale-ups, marketplaces, travel or pets.
- Proficiency with data exploration tools like Mode, Looker, Amplitude. Enthusiasm for learning SQL and/or prior experience is also a major plus.
- Experience utilising behavioural science techniques to connect with audiences.
