What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Toyota Production System Advisor to join our TPS Operations Division in a max term role until 22nd January 2027.
The TPS Operations Division comprises the Toyota Production System Support Centre (TSSC), Toyota Conversions, and Centralised Services. Building on our strong TPS heritage, our goal is to establish a Centre of Excellence that enhances our collective knowledge and expertise, delivering value to Toyota and all its stakeholders.
The Senior Toyota Production System (TPS) Advisor plays a key role in guiding project teams through the implementation of the Toyota Production System to address strategic operational challenges across Toyota’s internal and external partners. This position also supports the scoping of new initiatives, designs improvement strategies, and delivers both formal and informal training. Additionally, the role provides hands-on coaching and practical assistance at project sites to ensure successful execution.
This role is based in Altona North and requires interstate travel approximately twice per month.
How you’ll make an impact
Provide on-site leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring effective coaching in the application of the Toyota Production System to visualize processes and resolve critical business challenges.
Design and deliver Toyota training programs—both formal and informal—to internal and external audiences, sharing expertise on the Toyota Production System and its practical application.
Identify and scope new projects, develop strategic improvement plans to address business challenges, and track performance against established targets. Recommend corrective actions when necessary to ensure objectives are achieved.
Create and maintain visual management tools that clearly display project status and outcomes, enabling transparency and driving continuous improvement.
Coordinate and lead regular stakeholder meetings to review project milestones, ensuring clear communication of plans, progress, and issues. Oversee annual internal Toyota Production System Support Centre (TSSC) process improvement initiatives and provide monthly status reports on project performance.

A degree qualification in engineering is desirable, or equivalent relevant experience
Proven experience in process and production roles within a similar environment focusing on process improvement initiatives
Knowledge and practical experience with the Toyota Way, Toyota Business Practices (TBP), and Toyota Production System (TPS) is highly desirable
Demonstrated strong experience in creating content and delivering training and coaching to both internal and external stakeholders, in onsite and offsite settings with the ability to adapt and cater different audience in Toyota and external offsite settings
Strong interest in problem solving and a process improvement orientated mindset will be highly regarded
Project management experience is highly advantageous
