The Role: 

Subservicer Oversight and Monitoring:

  • Ongoing monitoring of Subservicer performance and compliance.
  • Direct oversight and management of servicer activities for portfolio and interim servicing.
  • Conduct Monthly Business Reviews with third-party servicing partner(s).
  • Maintain servicing oversight policies and procedures.
  • Conduct annual site visits.

Risk Management:

  • Ensure subservicer compliance with regulations, investor guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Score and complete Third Party Supplier Management monthly performance 
  • Review of risk assessments, monitoring, and audits.
  • Collaborate with enterprise partners to facilitate end-to-end review and Business Risk Assessments.
  • Directly responsible for management of mortgage servicing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with SLAs, SOWs, investor, state, and regulatory requirements, minimizing organizational risk.
  • Review results of exam management.
  • Support internal and external audits and assist with regulatory inquiries and investigations.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the daily workflow of the mortgage and home equity servicing oversight team.
  • Drive initiatives and processes.
  • Train, implement, and ensure procedures are written on new or updated processes.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly cross-functional team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Operational Management:

  • Execute and manage all Servicing Loan Transfers
  • Launch Implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Managed new loan setup, including delivery of data and servicing loan files.
  • Review results of Consumer complaint management and resolution.
  • Investor and Client P&I and Escrow reconciliation and remittance.
  • Vendor Invoice Reconciliation, addressing T&I advances, corporate advances, and tying out servicing fees to monthly boarding and deboarding.
  • Responsible for Accounting Service By Others (SBO) daily reconciliation and exception handling in the SitusAMC system.
  • Review all 1st line and 2nd line quality reports related to servicing partner performance feedback.
  • Oversees Post Boarding Acquisition Quality Assurance, identifying data errors, completing root cause analyses, and remediating errors related to loan boarding service acquisition events.
  • Coordinate repurchase demands with risk team, working with internal business units and Subservicer to resolution. Maintained all SLAs within the transfer timeline, prioritizing and balancing numerous projects and tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear communication with manager and maintain good relations with partner and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with products and development to stand up a framework for a data warehouse.
  • Work closely with Capital Markets, settling loan trades, reviewing PPTLs, contracts, and purchase advices.
  • Partner with Credit Risk on EPO / EPD Monitoring.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional partners (Capital Markets, Legal, Post Closing, Investor Conditions, and other stakeholders) to ensure compliant service transfers – quickly identifying and remediating gaps.
  • Collaborate with complaint management team.
  • Managed relationships with servicing counterparties, critical vendors, and GSEs. Obtain appropriate legal documents for each Deal/Transfer.

What You Need:

  • Ten+ years of experience in managing a mortgage servicing portfolio or management of multiple mortgage servicing functions.
  • Experience with Black Knight Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) systems and products.
  • Strong organizational, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage servicing financial performance and metrics.
  • Experience with loan servicing, default management, foreclosure, and bankruptcy processes.
  • Knowledge of investor, insurer, and government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Occasional business travel.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
