Responsible for developing design, specification, selection and services relating to Process Equipment including but not limited to Pressure Vessels, Spheres, Storage Tanks, Process Columns, Column Internals, Reactors, Scrubbers, Unfired Heat Transfer equipment, Electric Heaters, Silos, Bins, Mounded Vessels, Pig Launchers and Receivers.
Independently performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter with minimal guidance.
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Willing to travel globally and carry out short term assignments with other KBR offices/ client offices or with project site facility as needed to support projects.
SKILLSETS
Skills are typically acquired through a graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering and a minimum of 8 years, with average experience ranging from 8-12 years.
Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents. Shall be able to effectively handle the tasks given as a Resonsible Engineer for the Requisition handled, with minimal guidance. Also, may be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project.
Must be experienced with FEED and EPC/EPCM activities including but not limited preparation of Material Requisition, Technical Specification, Design using ASME, API and other International Codes/ Standard, Mechanical Data Sheets, Supplier offer review, Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor Documents Review and Interfaces with Inter disciplines as required.
Shall work in line with project schedules without compromise on the quality.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good attitude and able to work as a team player resolving all conflicts that may arise.
Worked with process equipment in the shop or field (a plus).
Participation in the inspection of equipment at shop or field (a plus).
Experience in material selection per process requirements in compliance with various national and international codes and standards.
Expertise in software used in the design of pressure vessels such as DISASU, PVElite and/or COMPRESS
Expertise in software used in design of storage tanks such as AMETANK.
Good knowledge of NACE compliance and lethal service requirements.
Working Knowledge of FEA using software like ANSYS, Nozzle Pro etc (a plus).
Exposure to European codes for process and storage equipment (a plus).
Working knowledge of wind and seismic analysis using various National and International codes, standards and case studies.
Working knowledge on re-rating of process equipment, repair and re-qualification of fabricated equipment.
Knowledge of NDT requirement, code stamping and WPS /PQR (a plus).
