Airbnb’s Talent Partner team is responsible for delivering the most critical components of HR services, including advising leaders, managers and employees on people matters, supporting the planning and delivery of cyclical talent programs, collaborating with COEs on global program delivery, partnering with functional experts on research and investigations, and supporting function specific or regionally driven projects, among other responsibilities and opportunities.

The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environments and is passionate about collaborating with business leaders to deliver high-impact talent solutions. They possess strong influencing, coaching and mentoring skills and consistently build effective relationships with executives and employees at all levels. We are seeking an HR thought leader who can seamlessly balance strategic partnership with a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” approach.

The difference you will make:

The Senior Talent Partner, EMEA leads a team of three Talent Partners and Advisors, supporting over 700+ employees and leaders across the EMEA region. This role partners closely with Functional Talent Directors, the EMEA Regional Director, Country Managers and regional functional leaders to implement both global and functional people programs that drive business success.

Acting as a bridge between Global Talent teams and the Region, the Senior Talent Partner collaborates with the Functional Talent Business Directors and regional leadership to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of Talent initiatives. This highly collaborative position operates within a matrix environment, working alongside HR Centres of Excellence, other Regional Talent teams, HR Operations and Functional Talent teams to deliver programs that are appropriately tailored at the functional, global, and local levels.

In partnership with HR Centres of Excellence and Functional Talent Directors, the Senior Talent Partner champions the people agenda—supporting performance management, employee relations, rewards, and compliance with local labor regulations. Additionally, the Senior Talent Partner represents Employee Experience (EX) on the EMEA Leadership Team, aligning EX priorities and work streams to best support the diverse needs and functional priorities of the region. The role reports directly to the Global Core EX Director based in Dublin, Ireland.

 

A Typical Day: 

  • Regional Talent Partners are responsible for providing local Talent support to leaders and employees in the region/geography
  • Partner with Functional Talent and Regional Directors to ensure effective team health in local offices
  • Provide Talent Partnering leadership across the region and part of extended Functional Talent teams for key Functions 
  • Work with Employee Experience centres of excellence to support implementation of Employee Experience programs in region
  • Champion Diversity & Belonging with relevant implementation of global programs at a local level
  • Drive Global Talent projects and contribute to the overall Global Talent agenda
  • Act as a coach to business leaders, providing advice and support on people matters
  • Provide input into global people programs from an EMEA standpoint
  • Coach and develop the Regional Talent team as an exemplary team of professionals and collaborators

 

Your Expertise:

  • Possesses deep experience in and knowledge of core HR disciplines, including HR Operations, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Organization Design, Organization Development and Change Management.
  • Stellar collaboration and partnership experience and skills. Deep experience influencing, informing and strategizing with managers, leaders and HR partners. Extremely adept at creating and strengthening collaborative and trusting relationships within and across functions. 
  • Expert at advising and guiding leaders and managers on highly complex, sensitive and critical matters to achieve strong outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise of how business and functions work to drive Airbnb’s product roadmap and goals.
  • Expert at balancing between the big picture and diving deep into details; enjoys and thrives in working “the whole stack” - no assignment is too big or small.
  • Stellar problem solving experience. Strong at analyzing and understanding core elements  of situations and developing options to solve problems effectively with high quality outcomes. Expertly converts complex information into compelling business context and advice.

Education, Work Experience and Extras

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience in fast moving, high growth, global company.
  • Deep experience/expertise in 3+ functional HR areas (HRBP, Employee Relations, Organization Development, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Compensation, Recruiting, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience leading people and teams highly preferred; experience coaching and guiding teammates and colleagues to form sound approaches and deliver effective results.
  • Experience supporting large/complex organizations as HRBP leader and/or COE leader.
  • Degree in HR or related field. Educational specialization is highly preferred (Organizational Behavior, Organization Development, Employment Law, Compensation, Statistics, Business, etc).
  • Prior experience working in fast-paced, dynamic, global/multinational organizations is highly preferred.
  • Experience with HR/Data/Analytics technologies (Workday, Tableau, Excel) and Program Management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Airtable) highly preferred.
  • Strong commitment to customers and the customer experience (internal and external customers).
  • Passionate about travel and how travel works.
  • Enjoys having fun doing meaningful work with business clients and colleagues.
