Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in the delivery and management of Microsoft-based infrastructure—spanning M365, Azure, and on-premises environments. You’ll ensure service integrity, drive incident response, and optimize technology operations for both cloud and traditional platforms.
This role is pivotal in supporting NZTA’s digital transformation, with a strong focus on automation, security, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for an effective communicator with excellent collaboration and relationship management skills.

Appointment base salary is between $109,408 -$145,876 commensurate with skills and experience.
You will be expected to participate in an on-call roster (typically every 6 to 7 weeks for one week).

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
