About the Role

The Sr. Supply Chain Executive identifies and leads work on opportunities to improve the cost, speed, and quality of Kohl’s logistics operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, analyze and communicate supply chain issues and solutions to Sr leadership and key business partners

  • Conduct annual budgeting, long-range planning and performance monitoring for area of responsibility

  • Lead cross-functional project management coordination

  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects with multiple vendors, ensuring goals are met. 

  • Establishes KPIs and partner across the organization to deliver results 

  • Provide project management coaching and guidance to team members

  • Additional tasks as assigned

Addendum

PARCEL

  • Own vendor relationships and serve as POC for Kohl’s Logistics

  • Lead communication to bridge the communication gap between routing tool development, user experience, and business needs

  • Enhance package routing through developing and implementing modules in routing tool

  • Execute routing decisions to drive speed and cost efficiencies for all e-commerce orders

  • Review, understand, and manage key contractual components Kohl’s has in place with carriers and vendors

  • Lead contract analysis to identify cost saving opportunities, compare quality of services, and provide recommendations on key issues of negotiation

  • Lead parcel RFP and carrier communications

  • Build and maintain outbound package forecast models for Kohl’s e-commerce fulfillment network.

  • Partner with internal teams to analyze and understand variables that directly impact parcel forecasting.  Identify and communicate risks to key stakeholders.

  • Serve as POC for peak carrier capacity planning

  • Identify and lead cost savings initiatives for the Logistics Network

  • Partner with carriers, vendors, and internal partners to execute initiatives

 TRANSPORTATION

  • Owns carriers relationships and leads contract negotiations with carrier providers

  • Leads, manages and is one of the primary decision makers in annual truck-load RFP

  • Provides insight and viewpoint to budgets, forecasting and other key metrics 

  • Leads new project implementations

  • Drives performance changes with carriers

  • Decision maker in any route, lane or mode changes within U.S. network

  • Identify and lead cost savings initiatives for the Domestic Transportation network Network

  • Partner with carriers, vendors, and internal partners to execute initiatives

MERCHANT AND VENDOR SERVICES

  • Acts as the liaison into the supply chain for merchants and 3rd party vendors.

  • Leads new project implementations.

  • Identify and lead strategies to remove friction within the supply chain

  • Identify opportunities and implement strategies to support  the education of supply chain best practices throughout the organization and with vendors 

  • Identify strategies and deliver innovation with respect to operational implementation of opportunities that reduce costs or increase revenue

  • Support recurring budgeting, forecasting, reporting and other operational activities

ANALYTICS

  • Lead supply chain network design projects, including the placement of facilities and merchandise flow between facilities

  • Lead analytical projects to determine the optimal way to organize complex business processes

  • Communicate facts and narratives concisely and precisely

  • Build intuitive and insightful data visualizations

  • Capably analyze data with SQL and R/Python

OPERATIONS/PLANNING

  • Development and execution of long range inventory placement and operational strategies

  • Lead, manage, an promote cost saving strategies identified within the technology roadmap

  • Coordinate and influence partners across the organization and third party vendors to drive strategies

  • Clearly build and communicate facts and narratives to all levels of the company
