Senior Strategic Deal Manager, APJ

The Strategic Deal Manager will be a centralized resource for each region on the strategy and implementation of deal structure across prospective and existing customers. You vwill play a crucial role in managing high-value deals and partnerships, inspecting deals based on internal approval policies, and scaling good deal practices to reps in your region.  

 

What You'll Do:

  • Deal Strategy Development: Formulate strategies for negotiating and closing deals that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for deal initiatives.
  • Pricing Enablement:  Enabling reps on the pricing model, deal scoping best practices, and new pricing initiatives and model changes.
  • Proposal Assistance: Assistance with creating proposal slides and pricing explainers in addition to quoting.
  • Negotiation Support: Support reps with negotiation and relationship management on high-stakes deals, interacting directly with clients and partners as needed.
  • Approval Guidance: Guidance on what parts of the deal will be approved and what won’t across discounting and deal structure.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or GTM Strategy roles in B2B SaaS companies focused on $100K+ customers and partnerships.
  • Customer facing experience in delivering proposals and negotiation. 
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS pricing, revenue models, and deal mechanics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Finance stakeholders across all levels of seniority. 
  • Proven ability to project manage complex deal cycles.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and business judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaled deal desk operations in a fast-growth environment and understands what good looks like.
  • Have Deal Desk experience in Cybersecurity
  • Willing to proactively train and empower Sales reps—not just support them.
  • Strong Salesforce and CPQ system knowledge (Salesforce CPQ preferred).
  • Can apply pricing operations best practices to deal management by augmenting systems, data visibility, and documentation — not just getting deals out the door.
  • Experience in a Finance or Legal related role.
