The Engineering Test Hardware Operations team supports Product/Test Engineering and Production Teams activities in Santa Clara, MAPL and OSAT locations worldwide. Our primary function is to design, develop, evaluate and maintain various types of test equipment’s and associated hardware to be used in the manufacturing and testing products ranging from Automotive, Enterprise, Data Center and Hyperscale product lines. Interfacing with various operational manufacturing teams to provide the best quality products to our customers.What You Can Expect
Design, develop and implement thermal control that pertains to IC test equipment.
Design and implement systems/processes to efficiently manufacture and test products.
Project management
Sourcing/Design validation of new Test Hardware including Change Kit, Loadboard, Sockets, Etc.
Identify and solve thermal-related challenges and resolve problems on new test equipment's, thermal systems, change kit, load board, sockets often using computational and simulation tools.
Support Test Hardware transfer from US to Asia OSATs
Assess Socket/LB Design/SI and look for improvement opportunities
Taking care of day-to-day test hardware management, includes performance monitoring, inventory status, required Vs spares, hardware repairs
Involve in new hardware releases at OSAT location, either local or offshore
Active participation in new product hardware development
Implement systems/processes to efficiently manufacture and test products.
Participate in new product test hardware releases (evaluation, analysis and Monitoring) on NPI and MPR activities
Active participation with Hardware Design Teams in new product hardware design, development and implementation processes.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in test hardware.
Candidate with strong Thermal Control / Mechanical engineering background is required
A strong knowledge in physics, mathematics and mechanical understanding principles
Experience in design, development and installation of thermal control components that pertains to IC test equipment.
Experience in automated IC test equipment's (i.e. Test handlers, system level test and Thermal systems) preferred
Knowledgeable with Test-hardware which includes Probe Cards, Sockets, Load boards and Change kits is a plus
Candidate must possess good inter-personal relationship skills as this position requires lots of interactions with other groups and vendors
Self-driven individual, able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced, team-oriented working environment.
Strive to drive projects into an efficient and timely completion.
The individual will also be working with and communicating with our hardware Test Operations engineering teams in US, Singapore and Taiwan.
