Your Team, Your Impact

The Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, controller ASIC’s with Marvell DSP’s. These components are made operational with a highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for design, verification, and validation of these integrated high speed optical components. The team performs system level testing under various operating conditions, and validates the performance of the hardware, firmware and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.

Our team develop the production test software of Silicon Photonics related chip, sub-assembly, and modules. We consign several one-of-a-kind of equipment sets to test our novel optical devices.

Our daily tasks mainly involved production test software development, and continuous interaction with OSAT and CM's.

What You Can Expect

Architect and implement automated test systems (including software, hardware, and database) for optical module and component production, characterization, and development
Ownership of manufacturing test methodology, test process, and test coverage to ensure product quality and reliability
Develop software and database tools for both production and development stage data analysis, data reporting, and WIP control
Define and communicate design for test (DFT) requirements to design teams to ensure testability of the products
Transfer of production test capability to off-shore contract manufacturer
Cost reduction through test time reduction and yield enhancement
Support design, qualification, and operation teams on automated tests, such as characterization and reliability qualification

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience developing automated test solutions relating to optical components or modules
Knowledge of optical systems, modules, components, and photonics devices (lasers, detectors, modulators, DWDM system)
Experience with control mechanism of complex optical components or modules
Programming in Visual Basic / VB.Net and database (SQL)
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plus
Strong ownership, excellent communication, flexibility, and team spirit
Optical Module test experience
BS degree or higher required

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

117,200 - 173,380, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
