This role provides expert guidance on retirement and savings programs, supporting BMO’s strategic direction through leadership engagement, program design, governance, and employee engagement strategies. It leads communication initiatives to drive awareness and participation, manages relationships with external vendors to ensure program delivery, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. The role also contributes to strategic and operational execution to achieve program objectives and mitigate risk.

About the role:

Strategic Leadership & Advisory

  • Serves as a trusted advisor for BMO’s retirement and savings programs.
  • Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of program strategy, design, and tools.
  • Provides insights and recommendations based on emerging trends, data analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Supports strategic initiatives and multi-year planning aligned with business objectives.

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Designs and executes employee engagement strategies for retirement and savings programs across BMO.
  • Leads or contributes to change management and communication plans to drive behavioural change.
  • Develops tailored messaging and identifies effective distribution channels.

Program & Vendor Management

  • Oversees relationships with external service providers, ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
  • Monitors program performance and addresses issues proactively.
  • Supports regulatory compliance and reporting across jurisdictions.

Technical & Analytical Expertise

  • Offers specialized consulting and analytical support
  • Breaks down strategic problems and formats data into reports and dashboards.
  • Provides input on policy positions considering legislative requirements.

Operational & Project Support

  • Supports the design, development, and implementation of policies and programs.
  • Provides guidance on program implementation and solution development.
  • Works independently, handling complex and non-routine situations.

About you:

Experience & Education

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience, with a post-secondary degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Deep technical knowledge developed through extensive education and business exposure.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Strong understanding of retirement and savings programs
  • Skilled in program and vendor management
  • Experienced in developing and executing education and employee engagement strategies

Core Competencies

  • Advanced verbal and written communication.
  • Strong collaboration and team skills.
  • High-level analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills.

Salary:

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
