About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- OpenText Exstream Administration: Installation and configuration of new Exstream version 24.x or 25.x along with its components like database, designer, and others. Manage User groups and folder administration entitlement and access.
- Upgrade and Migration: Design, plan, and execute the migration of legacy communication systems and applications to the new version. Analyze existing legacy systems, assess their suitability for migration, and define the best approach. Conversion of existing databases to the new Exstream version databases that covers a very large enterprise with more than 200 databases and 400 applications.
- Open Text Exstream Development: create Component workflow check-in/out, submitted, approved, and versioning. Manage different inputs like XML, JSON, TIFF, Mainframes, etc. and different outputs like AFP, PDF, HTML, plaintext, metadata file, etc. with ADA Compliance and Multi-Language output. Vetting and supporting business enablement applications using Campaign Manager, complex document applications, section data processing, and performance tuning
- Export/import and migrating applications across environments and/or into different databases.
- Reusability: Management of reusable object components and resources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth migration with minimal disruption.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for cloud adoption and system integrations.
- Ensure data integrity and security compliance throughout the migration process.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues during installation, migration, and post-migration phases.
- Perform performance tuning, optimization, and regular updates of the OpenText Extream platform.
- Conduct training sessions and prepare documentation for end-users and support teams.
- Configuration, development, integration testing, User acceptance testing, and production rollout support
- Facilitate Architecture, design, and cloud deployment and configuration.
- 4+ years of experience in implementing and migrating enterprise-level communication/content management systems, preferably OpenText.
- Performing admin functions as part of major upgrades.
- Performing due diligence and vetting of the new software release by validating critical functions of Exstream to determine that it can be adopted for upgrade.
- Management of SQL server databases and Environment features.
- Knowledgeable with new software release updates and perform comprehensive validations and regression testing between new and old versions.
- Well versed in advanced functions of Exstream such as multi-language, multi-delivery channels, ADA compliance, section data processing, performance tuning, component lifecycle workflow, reusable objects, folder management, and fine grain user group entitlement management.
- Strong expertise in OpenText Exstream solutions.
- Solid understanding of legacy communication protocols and migration strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent project management skills with experience leading large-scale migrations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
