Job Description

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, will design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks that ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of software products. They play a critical role in building and optimizing automated testing pipelines and enabling continuous integration and delivery across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and services testing.
  • Build and execute complex automated test suites to validate new and existing
  • functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and improve testing coverage.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation during the development lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain reliable test environments, including containerized and cloud-based setups.
  • Analyze automation results, identify patterns, and proactively address recurring quality or performance issues.
  • Mentor QA and development team members in automation best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews for automation scripts and frameworks to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • Support product delivery by identifying potential risks early and ensuring automated regression testing minimizes release delays.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for automation deliverables and overall system quality.


Basic Requirements

Skills/Experience:
• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
6+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
• Proven experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium and similar frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Typescript, Java, or C# for test automation scripting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Exposure to API automation using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
 

Advantageous:

  • ISTQB/ISEB Certification.
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, K6, Gatling).
