Role Purpose
Are you passionate about making brands shine online? As our Senior Social Media & PR Manager, you’ll be the creative spark behind TalkTalk’s digital presence - crafting stories, building buzz, and making sure everyone’s talking about us (for all the right reasons!). You’ll shape how we show up on social and in the media, driving awareness and getting people excited about what we do.
Main Responsibilities
Dream up and deliver bold, creative social media and PR campaigns and content that get people talking and sharing.
Creating a social media platform strategy with clear content pillars to drive positive perceptions of TalkTalk, deliver engagement and build positive relationships with customers, both current and future
Be the voice of TalkTalk across digital channels—posting, sharing, and engaging with our community in real time – overseeing the creation of socially native content drive reach and engagement organically, without the need for big media or production budgets
Build relationships with journalists, influencers, and online communities to amplify our story and keep us top of mind.
Keep your finger on the pulse—spotting trends, jumping on opportunities, and making sure we’re always ahead of the curve and aligned to our commercial goals.
Measure what matters—track campaign performance, celebrate wins, and learn from every post.
Develop a community management strategy to drive positive engagements both within and outside our own social channels, bringing our brand personality and tone of voice to life
Collaborate with brilliant colleagues across our marketing, digital, and product teams to make sure our message is loud, clear, and consistent.
Be ready to handle the unexpected—whether it’s a viral moment or a tricky issue, you’ll help us respond with confidence and personality, working closely with the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement team to do so.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of digital and social media platforms, tools, and trends and how to use them in a consumer environment.
Strong grasp of PR, media relations, and digital storytelling.
Awareness of the UK telecoms or tech sector is a definite bonus.
Skills:
Creative flair and a knack for creating and writing punchy, engaging content.
Strategic thinking—able to turn big ideas into action.
Confident communicator, both online and in person.
Great at building relationships and working with different teams.
Calm under pressure and quick to adapt.
Experience:
7+ years in social media and PR roles, ideally with a consumer brand or agency.
Proven track record of running successful digital campaigns that drive buzz and engagement.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
