The operational need to add members to our support staff will continue to enable robust solutions in the IT Service and Support framework. The position supports both the active contracts as well as new contract support requests in facilitation of business capture, operations, and new technology insertion. Close relationship building with the customers ensures operational readiness and compliance.

Seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring a seasoned professional with a comprehensive mix of Security / IT background to support our systems including networking, computer/virtual infrastructure operations, threat detection software and systems, threat analysis and action of supported systems, and new technology integration with built in security engineering included. The team also handles day-to-day security compliance and user administration. The successful candidate will become a viable member leading in the integration, configuration, deployment, security remediation, and operations. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Linux-based operating systems: Red Hat, CentOS, VMware, KVM, QEMU KVM.
  • Windows operating system environment support (Servers/Workstations – standalone and Full enterprise deployments).
  • Multi-platform support of OEM appliances, Windows and Linux VMware based appliances (End user/Virtual Infrastructure).
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level staff in best practices for installation and operations of security products/practices.
  • Ability to install and operate Trellix, SentinalOne, Splunk and other related security and analysis systems.
  • Patching and remediation of monitored systems and networks with the team.
  • Tier 3+ service support, interfacing with Tier 2.
  • IT service delivery, assurance, and operations to include be not limited to documentation: OPS, SECOPS, Systems.
  • Assist in developing new shared services (product deployments, customized solutions – Internal/External as needed).
  • Providing technical implementation support for security compliance and system accreditation processes.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain/maintain a polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Security operations of systems supporting: Virtualization, Windows and Linux Computing solution engineering and architecture solutions
  • Experience with on-premise, cloud and hybrid-cloud based deployments.
  • US citizenship is required; Active federal security clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Cleared Individual clearance supporting the overall business up to TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • CISSP, Virtual Certifications key (DoDD 8570/ DoDD 8140).
  • Experience with ITSM and/or ServiceNow.
  • Comparable VMware certifications, RHCE, MS Certifications, Security Certs in general to IAT/IAM levels 1-3.
  • Working knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic endpoint security principles.
  • Extensive experience in security operations and supported systems named/unnamed within the posting.

Our Senior Security Engineer (Government) earns between $98,100 - $220,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
