Senior Risk Analyst, Operational Resilience

What you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Analyst, Operational Resilience, reporting to the Manager, Operational Resilience. As a Senior Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting Canadian Tire Bank’s (CTB) Operational Resilience Framework and Program. The successful candidate will work with business partners across the organization to manage day-to-day operational resilience processes and provide second-line oversight and challenge of related activities to ensure compliance with the operational resilience framework and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the Manager, Operational Resilience in managing CTB’s operational resilience framework and day-to-day processes and activities.

  • Leverage the Bank’s operational resilience software application to ensure the effectiveness of processes.

  • Conduct monitoring and second-line oversight of operational resilience activities to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Operational Resilience Framework and policies.

  • Develop regular reporting on the Bank’s operational resilience profile and metrics.

  • Lead meetings related to operational resilience with internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to schedule operational resilience assessments.

  • Provide guidance, support, and subject matter expertise on the Bank’s operational resilience-related policies and processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to maintain and enhance the operational resilience framework.

  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders on operational resilience policies, procedures, and application use.

  • Be a subject matter expert on the Bank’s Operational Resilience Framework and supporting policies and processes.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a risk analyst or an equivalent business-related role, with experience in in the banking or financial services industry and within operational risk is considered an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices related to operational resilience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel and Word.

  • Experience with third-party risk management and governance, risk and compliance software is an asset.

  • Enthusiastic learner with well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team of risk professionals.
