ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)
The Senior Quantitative Analytics Manager has the key responsibility of advancing quantitative modeling capabilities and driving innovation in analytics. Reporting directly to the Head of Modeling and Analytics, this role is responsible for setting the standard for modeling practices and across various domains including credit loss modeling, risk rating, and scorecard modeling.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•    Deep statistical knowledge and ability to fast prototype using R/Python
•    Lead modeling work and help design best practices in modeling and analytics 
•    Influence / impact strategy for data sourcing
•    Anticipate emerging needs; identify industry data trends and technologies
•    Proactively coach and develop others on building technical skills
•    Promote the group and their capabilities to stakeholders
•    Effectively collaborate and partner at all levels of the organization; guides, advises, challenges, and influences to drive organizational impact
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Master’s degree (or its equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, predictive modeling, or other quantitative disciplines and at least 6 years minimum of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, predictive modeling, or other quantitative disciplines and at least 7 years of relevant experience.


DATA LITERACY     
•    Ability to:
o    Influence / impact strategy for data sourcing; can anticipate emerging needs to be incorporated into strategy
o    Lead discussions about pros/cons of applications with senior leadership
o    Monitor industry trends and direction of data analysis technologies

  

TECHNOLOGY & TECHNIQUES    

•    Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
•    Ability to leverage Gen AI for modeling 
•    Advanced Python/R/SAS:
o    Databases
o    Efficient coding
o    Can build strong code controls and translate code into high-level commentary
•    Understanding of and ability to leverage:
o    Cloud-based computing
o    Distributed computing  

MODEL BUILDING

•    Ability to:
o    Establish standards and best practices; forecast future modeling tools / techniques
o    Identify, employ, and evangelize emerging techniques from industry / research
o    Coach others on data modeling methods / techniques
o    Facilitate sessions for complex data models
o    Assess and understand risks; contingency plans
o    Communicate observations to senior executives
o    Translate technical observations to a non-technical audience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $112,000.00 - $210,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
