The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Senior Quality Assurance Testing Systems Analyst serves as a senior technical expert, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of WWP’s software applications and systems that support wounded warriors and donors. As a key member of the IT Applications team, this role designs, executes, and refines comprehensive testing programs, driving quality and consistency across platforms. This role partners with project teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, recommend improvements, and ensure solutions align with organizational and operational needs.


 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a lead Quality Assurance Systems Testing Analyst for WWP application systems.

  • Translate business and functional requirements into test cases and scripts that ensure data integrity, meet project requirements, and provide a positive user experience.

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute functional and end-to-end testing activities to confirm applications meet business goals, fulfill end-user needs, and identify issues.

  • Monitor and optimize QA processes, tools, and system performance to support organizational growth and ensure reliable operation.

  • Test and analyze software performance, quality controls, and test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, and interoperability concerns.

  • Collaborate with systems analysts, developers, and project teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve malfunctions, and recommend improvements to applications or systems.

  • Provide technical support to users and contribute to IT Applications Knowledge Library and ITSM system to enhance customer service and organizational knowledge sharing.

  • Lead peer reviews of test cases, automation scripts, and QA activities; share best practices with teammates and contribute to the QA team roadmap.

  • Drive the development and refinement of QA standards, automation frameworks, regression testing, performance testing, and security validation.

  • Support change control processes, participate in architectural reviews, and provide input on release decisions, upgrades, and vendor changes.

  • Communicate testing progress, results, and recommendations to stakeholders and management.

  • Conduct trend analysis of testing activities to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.

  • Stay current with technological trends and identify opportunities to optimize performance and utilization of supported applications.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Expert-level knowledge of test design, script development, and automated testing.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong technical writing and procedural documentation.

  • Expertise in five core testing domains: Accessibility, Performance, Functionality, Security, and Automation.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects of varying complexity effectively.

  • Ability to detect, classify, and diagnose application behavior patterns against requirements, and clearly document defects to support remediation.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, project-based environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while exercising confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive issues.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in process testing and/or developing technical and procedural documentation.

  • Five years of experience supporting projects to successful outcomes, demonstrating strong knowledge of project management processes.

  • Two years of experience in project management, including coordinating tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

Preferences

  • Five years of experience working in a SCRUM or Agile development environment.

  • Experience collaborating with vendors during system upgrades, implementations, or evaluations.

  • Experience contributing to vendor assessment and selection processes to ensure alignment with organizational needs and quality standards.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferences

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field.

  • ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) v4.0 Certification.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
