Great American Risk Solutions is currently searching for a Senior Production Underwriter to join our E&S Property underwriting team. This individual may work a hybrid schedule out of the Cincinnati, OH headquarters or fully remote if they are outside of the Cincinnati Metropolitan area.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage E&S property business workflows, including evaluating and underwriting new and renewal business while providing technical expertise in accordance with Company underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.

  • Prioritize, evaluate and assess risk submissions and data to make informed decisions on coverage, pricing, and terms that will develop an underwriting profit.

  • Determine appropriate coverage limits and policy terms and conditions based on technical underwriting expertise to support profitable growth.

  • Maintain adherence to company and individual underwriting authority guidelines.

  • Ensures proper documentation of underwriting decisions and compliance with state and federal insurance regulations.

  • Evaluates existing policies for potential renewal or modification.

  • Manages internal and external relationships with consistent clear and effective communication to develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with brokers and teammates.

  • Stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions.

  • Interprets, explains, and promotes products and services to drive market growth.

  • Leverages advanced marketing techniques to interpret, explain, and promote the Company’s products to brokers.

  • Monitors market trends and competition to identify opportunities for product enhancements and marketing strategies.

  • Organizes and participates in marketing initiatives, including presentations, industry events, and broker/agent meetings to showcase products and services.

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Generally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in Underwriting or a related field.

  • E&S Property underwriting experience preferred.

  • Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
