Job Title: Senior Technical Product Owner

Impact & Contribution: As a Senior Product Owner in the Payments Servicing Solutions crew, you will lead the strategic delivery of technology solutions that underpin payment operations. You will be responsible for defining product vision, managing delivery roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with CBA’s strategic priorities and customer outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Product Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve the product strategy aligned to CBA’s payments operations transformation agenda. Lead ideation and discovery using human-centred design principles.
• Technology Leadership: Partner with engineering and architecture teams to shape scalable, secure, and resilient solutions. Demonstrate deep understanding of software and product architecture.
• Delivery Ownership: Own and manage the product backlog, prioritise features based on business value, and ensure timely delivery through agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and collaborate with senior leaders, crew leads, and external partners to drive product outcomes. Communicate value propositions with credibility and authority.
• Risk & Compliance: Apply sound risk management practices to ensure better risk outcomes across the product lifecycle.
• Payments Expertise: Leverage domain knowledge in domestic and international payments, including exception handling, account closure, and regulatory compliance.
• Service Domain Modelling: Apply service domain modelling techniques to ensure modular and reusable architecture aligned with business capabilities.
• BIAN Framework: Integrate BIAN standards into solution design to promote interoperability and standardisation across banking services.
• API Design: Lead API strategy and design to enable secure, scalable, and efficient integration across platforms.
• Agentic AI: Explore and incorporate Agentic AI capabilities to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Essential Skills:
• 15+ Years experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a complex technology environment.
• Strong background in payments systems, operations, and compliance.
• Demonstrated strategic acumen and ability to influence across senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile squads or crews, ideally within financial services.
