We are looking to hire a Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) into our Protection Platform Team. The Protection Platform is a B2B2C SaaS offering which has been brought to life by UnderwriteMe, a global insuretech provider helping insurers and advisers cover more people faster.
We are revolutionising the insurance industry with our single-sourcing platform to make personal protection accessible to everyone in the UK through the protection platform. With partnerships with ten leading insurers in the UK market, we are committed to delivering value and convenience to our users.
Who are the team?
You will be joining the dynamic cross-functional Protection Platform’s Product Team. The Senior PMM will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between product capabilities, messaging and user needs – helping to drive the success of our Protection Platform.
The team aims to gather insights and evidence and uses them to inform and deliver the Protection Platform’s proposition and product enhancements to market. They use market research, user research and product analytics to prioritize user needs while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The team aims to optimize the Platform’s performance and value to users by incorporating feedback and insights into the development process.
The team operates under a product led ethos and make use of data and experimentation to drive their development efforts, ensuring that value is added rapidly and iteratively.
What will I be doing?
The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing the product marketing strategy for the Protection Platform.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings.
Gather insights that inform product positioning and marketing strategies.
Customer/User Persona Development:
Create and refine customer & user personas to guide marketing efforts and product messaging.
Ensure alignment between product features and the needs of target customers.
Product Positioning and Messaging:
Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that highlights unique selling points.
Communicate value propositions to both internal teams and external audiences.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy:
Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature updates.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and effective product launch.
Content Creation:
Create marketing collateral, including product guides, presentations, blog posts, thought leadership, and other content to support marketing campaigns.
Ensure content is tailored to different stages of the customer journey.
Sales Enablement:
Produce sales collateral
Collaborate with the sales team to create sales materials, presentations, and training programs.
Equip sales teams with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell the product.
Demand Generation Strategy:
Develop demand generation strategy to drive awareness and interest in the product, for the field marketing team to execute.
Select, monitor and utilize various channels, such as email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
Improve and update the website
User Acquisition and Retention:
Design marketing strategies and initiatives to drive user acquisition, retention and customer loyalty.
Customer Advocacy:
Identify and nurture relationships with satisfied customers who can serve as advocates.
Encourage and facilitate customer testimonials, case studies, and referrals.
Competitive Analysis:
Monitor and analyze competitor products, marketing strategies, and market positioning.
Use insights to differentiate the product positioning and refine marketing approaches.
Collaboration with Product Teams:
Work closely with product managers to understand product features and updates.
Translate technical details into user-friendly messaging.
Analytics and Reporting:
Utilise analytics tools to measure and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns.
Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess marketing effectiveness.
Feedback Loops:
Establish feedback loops between marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
Use customer feedback to refine marketing strategies and product messaging.
Events:
Plan and attend relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows. [with Sales & Marketing]
Leverage events for networking, product demonstrations, and lead generation.
We’re interested in candidates who have:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the insurtech industry.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for B2B2C, B2B SMB SaaS products.
Strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in the area of underwriting automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messaging.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpreting market research findings.
Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and other marketing technology platforms.
Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
An all-rounder PMM able to think strategically and execute at the same time.
