JOB TITLE: Product Director, Electronic and Embedded Payments
LOCATIONS: Bristol / Edinburgh / London
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About This Opportunity:
We’re looking for a senior product specialist with deep expertise in payments, open banking and embedded payments using API. The Product Owner will lead the design, development, and management of embedded and electronic domestic payment products across our commercial banking portfolio.
You’ll provide strategic direction, thought leadership, and people management to deliver faster, simpler, and reliable payment experiences, ensuring alignment with regulatory, risk, and commercial objectives.
This highly collaborative role sits within the Payments Product team in Business Transaction Banking, working closely with colleagues in Platform, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Client Coverage to ensure propositions are robust, well-governed, and commercially effective.
As Product Director, you’ll shape Lloyds Bank’s future payments ecosystem by leading the strategy, delivery, and performance of:
Your focus will be on growth, adoption, and innovation, improving API usability, developer experience, and operational resilience, alongside clear commercial models and pricing frameworks. You’ll also support client-facing activities, including strategic deals, RFP responses, and presentations, and act as a thought leader, representing Lloyds in industry forums and working groups.
