Barcelona - King - PG Full time

Craft:

Job Description:

The Senior Product Manager (SPM) for the Flow & Habits team plays a pivotal role in shaping how players engage with Candy Crush Soda Saga on a daily basis. You’ll lead the strategy and execution of features and systems that build strong player habits, improve retention, and maximize both player satisfaction and business impact.

This is a pure individual contributor role — without direct line management — but one with significant leadership influence across the team and wider organization. You’ll operate with full autonomy to define your team’s goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with Soda’s overall vision and King’s broader portfolio strategy. Collaboration with cross-functional partners will be key as you drive a clear roadmap, nurture a high-performing team environment, and continuously evolve based on data and player insights.

Your role within the Kingdom

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving impact across three key dimensions:

  • Product Impact – Ensuring the team delivers meaningful value to players and measurable business impact, both short and long term.
  • Team Performance – Working with cross-functional peers to maintain a happy, motivated, and high-performing team.
  • Craft Contribution – Contributing to the product management community by mentoring others, calibrating hiring processes, and sharing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Define a clear strategy and vision for the Flow & Habits area within the Meta domain, identifying key opportunities and setting priorities.
  • Establish success metrics and track progress toward player and business goals.
  • Refine plans based on learnings, data, and shifting context.
  • Ensure alignment with Soda’s product strategy and King’s overall portfolio objectives.
  • Identify key assumptions, map risks, and design efficient tests to validate hypotheses.
  • Use competitive insights and player research to guide direction.

Execution & Delivery

  • Partner with design, tech, art, and data teams to deliver a roadmap that drives engagement and retention.
  • Balance exploration with delivery to ensure continuous value creation and effective risk mitigation.
  • Ensure execution quality and timely delivery, reprioritizing as needed.
  • Manage dependencies and enable effective cross-team workflows aligned with Soda principles.

Decision Making

  • Drive clear, transparent, and data-informed decision-making processes.
  • Balance quantitative and qualitative evidence, adjusting the depth of validation to the level of risk.
  • Document, communicate, and align stakeholders around key decisions and outcomes.

Team Leadership

  • Create clarity and engagement by communicating strategy, goals, and priorities effectively.
  • Collaborate with functional managers to assess performance and close gaps.
  • Proactively resolve interpersonal or operational challenges.
  • Foster a culture of trust, learning, and high performance — leading with empathy and energy.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate with impact across all levels, from team updates to executive briefings.
  • Adapt communication style to different audiences to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Build strong relationships across teams, managing dependencies and aligning on shared goals.

Craft & Community Contribution

  • Mentor junior PMs and help elevate the broader product management craft.
  • Participate in hiring and calibration panels for IC PM roles.
  • Contribute to the PM community through thought leadership, process improvements, or team initiatives.

Skills to create thrills

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in free-to-play games or digital consumer products, ideally at scale.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, research, and qualitative insights to drive decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of player behavior, business levers (distribution, monetization, engagement), and competitive dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, adaptable across audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex environment.
  • Highly autonomous and comfortable operating in ambiguity, with strong prioritization and decision-making capabilities.
  • Passion for building experiences that engage millions of players worldwide.
