As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the NVIDIA R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create and optimize advanced optical assembly procedures and recipes.

  • Work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including machine vendors, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

  • Develop, customize, and qualify complex automated assembly systems.

  • Establish new assembly methodologies using novel equipment and processes.

  • Lead process failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare and execute Process Transfer packages for high-volume manufacturing and support production ramp-up.

  • Lead projects from concept to implementation and qualification, managing schedules, priorities, and team coordination.

  • Ensure methodical, data-driven, and well-documented execution throughout all stages of the project.

What we need to see:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Material Science and engineering/Opto-Mechanical engineering/Physics/Mechanical engineering/Electrical engineering

  • 5+ years experience in R&D department or process engineering in the semiconductor, optics, or PCB industry.

  • High capability and understanding of machine software and recipes as well as process integration.

  • Self-managed, initiative and innovative.

  • Superior problem-solving and presentation skills.

  • Teamwork player as well as a sole worker.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • High level of written and verbal communication in Hebrew and English.

  • Traveling abroad with frequency of one week in a quarter.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Previous experience in R&D teams in semiconductor or optical communication industries.

  • Proven experience and deep knowledge in precise assembly machines

  • Good understanding and/or modeling skills of optical devices and phenomena (Zemax or equivalent SW tools). 

  • Programming skills
