Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development: Lead and optimize end-to-end MEMS assembly processes, including die attach by robot arm, wirebond, automation handling, and final testing, to achieve high yield, performance, and manufacturability.
- Wirebond Process Ownership: Develop bonding parameters, conduct DOEs, troubleshoot bonding issues, and drive continuous improvements in bond quality and reliability.
- Automation & Equipment Management: Develop and maintain automated assembly and test equipment programs. Collaborate with automation engineers to enhance process throughput and consistency.
- ICT & Functional Testing: Define and refine in-circuit test (ICT) and functional test procedures to ensure complete product verification and traceability.
- Process Integration: Work cross-functionally with design, test, and manufacturing teams to integrate new MEMS devices into high-volume production with robust process controls.
- Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Analyze yield and test data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Implement data-driven corrective actions to enhance process stability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including control plans, FMEA, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Quality & Reliability: Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure processes meet reliability and regulatory requirements. Support failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide technical training to operators and junior engineers on assembly and bonding processes to ensure process adherence and skill development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, or related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor, or optical assembly manufacturing
- Proven experience with wirebond equipment (e.g., Kulicke & Soffa, Hesse, ASM, Delvotec etc.) and process optimization techniques (DOE, SPC, FMEA).
- Knowledge of automation control, machine vision, and robotic assembly systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with ICT, functional test systems, and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or precision assembly environment preferred.
