This role as Senior Pricing Actuary is a key part of that mission. You’ll be shaping pricing strategies that directly impact the health and wellbeing of our international customers, particularly across the Middle East. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you’ll help us deliver fair, competitive, and sustainable pricing that supports our growth and customer promise.
How you’ll help us make health happen
As a Senior Pricing Actuary, you’ll:
Lead pricing strategy discussions with internal and external stakeholders across the Middle East.
Partner with Bupa Global’s Executive Leadership Team to develop and influence pricing initiatives.
Conduct rate reviews and make recommendations to senior decision-makers.
Build pricing scenario tools to test and refine strategies.
Apply advanced analytics and modelling techniques to solve business challenges.
Present regularly to the BG Underwriting and Pricing Committee.
Support the development of new insurance products and pricing for existing ones.
Analyse competitor pricing and market trends.
Own and lead pricing projects across multiple business areas.
Key Skills/Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strategic thinking. You’ll need:
Qualification as an Actuary (IFoA or equivalent)
Experience in international or private medical insurance (I/PMI) pricing – other insurance sectors also considered.
Strong data skills and experience with tools like SAS, Earnix, Emblem, Radar, or R.
Proficiency in statistical modelling, including Generalised Linear Modelling (GLM).
A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to challenge and innovate.
Strong communication and influencing skills – able to engage senior stakeholders.
A collaborative approach and the ability to lead cross-functional projects.
