Senior Payroll Specialist - APAC Payroll - Snr AVP

As an APAC Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for handling complex tasks that support payroll preparation and distribution for our operations in APAC. Your role will include managing vendor relationships and workflows to ensure accurate and timely payroll services for our team members across the region, while ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory standards.

Additionally, you will play a key role in driving ongoing improvement and transformation initiatives. This position reports directly to the APAC Payroll Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership for the delivery of APAC Payrolls to the Company Service Level Agreements for accuracy and timeliness as well as full compliance with legislation, internal policy and control procedures.

  • Contribute to providing work direction, coaching, and managing daily schedules.

  • Consult in payroll inquires, records, deductions, and procedures.

  • Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls

  • Improve and update operations by maintaining accurate records of payroll information.

  • Guide resolution of payroll regulatory risks by applying understanding of current and new industry practices.

  • Monitor evolving industry changes and communicating implications to team.

  • Review complex data with legal compliance and the impact it will have on resources.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

  • Improve customer satisfaction.

  • Work on payroll and wider HR projects delivering process simplification and automation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Good team working skills with ability to work independently.

  • General financial skills and knowledge, including basic understanding of balance sheet and budgeting.

  • Working knowledge of CloudPay and Workday

  • Experience of working through change, ideally implementing interfaces / automation of processes.

  • Experience in APAC Payroll, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, education.
