The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Operations & Administration to join the Chief Marketing Office (CMO). This is a pivotal, high-impact role where you will be responsible for elevating strategic planning and ensuring seamless, high-quality execution across key CMO teams and the entire Marketing organization.

The Senior Operations Manager will serve as a strategic partner responsible for maximizing organizational efficiency, defining our internal engagement strategy, and managing critical people practices across the marketing function. Success in this role requires an individual who can fluidly transition from high-level strategic planning to the meticulous execution of large-scale initiatives, comfort with ambiguity, strong communication skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Develop and execute the internal engagement strategy, ensuring timely, clear, and consistent communication of all strategic updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage a high volume of internal communications across diverse channels and internal portals
  • Design, structure, and facilitate large-scale, high-visibility meetings and forums with strong executive presence, ensuring focused dialogue that translates complex information into clear direction and action.
  • Manage critical people practices and cultural initiatives (e.g., talent development and change management support) to foster an open, trusting, and collaborative atmosphere across the marketing function.
  • Strategically design and manage a scalable Marketing Onboarding Program to ensure rapid integration and foundational knowledge of our operating model, tools, and culture.
  • Proactively diagnose and eliminate systemic friction, designing operational efficiencies that simplify complex processes and drive measurable impact.

  • Project Management & Operational Excellence: Applies project/operations management methodologies to deliver high-quality and timely results; strong planning skills (from high-level to detailed); proficient in creating and delivering various project documents (e.g., meeting plans, showflow’s, timelines, agenda’s); Skilled at simplifying complex processes and driving action for greater impact. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and deliver results.

This position will be based in South San Francisco. 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience in marketing, operations, or project management.
  • Proven project management or operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of marketing (groups, processes, mindsets).
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and modern work practices, including AI tools.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $136,100 – $252,700 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
