Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…
From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
Meet Our Team
The Global Device Operations (GDO) team designs, builds, and manages a global network of large-scale device farms across multiple data centers. These environments host thousands of consumer-grade connected devices — from set-top boxes and smart TVs to mobile phones, game consoles, and more — which power the testing and quality assurance behind WBD’s global streaming platforms.
Our infrastructure blends the world of data center engineering and consumer device operations. We build, maintain, and scale complex hybrid environments where network, servers, and consumer hardware coexist to deliver secure, high-performance, and automation-ready platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of one of our global data center environments. This is a deeply hands-on role — ideal for someone who enjoys building, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical systems end-to-end.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our network and infrastructure, supporting hundreds of connected devices, controllers, endpoints and hosts. The role spans from physical infrastructure setup and network configuration to integrating new device types, supporting automation platforms, and mentoring junior engineers.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure and QA teams to ensure our device environments remain reliable, secure and optimized for large-scale testing and remote access.
Scope and Complexity
This role sits at the intersection of data center operations, network engineering, and device integration. You will:
Own the health, availability, and performance of assigned data center/device farm environment.
Design, deploy, and maintain local and remote network infrastructure — including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Work hands-on with consumer devices, servers, and virtualization platforms — from racking and stacking to advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
Integrate new device types and test technologies into existing environments, ensuring reliable remote control and automation.
Maintain high operational standards — clean documentation, accurate inventory, and consistent best practices.
Represent GDO in technical discussions, internal meetings, and partner forums.• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
What to Bring
Must-Have Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations, preferably in data center or lab environments.
Strong understanding of IP networking (Layer 2/3), VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, NAT.
Experience with routers, switches, and wireless technologies
Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and CLI tools.
Experience working in mixed environments with consumer-grade devices (STBs, smart TVs, mobile phones, gaming consoles, etc.) alongside traditional network and server infrastructure.
Proven ability to plan, execute, and maintain physical infrastructure — including rack/stack, cabling, labeling, and inventory management.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across both hardware and network layers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and represent the team in cross-functional discussions.
Strongly Preferred / Good to Have
Familiarity with NetBox and Infoblox (or similar IRM/CMDB and DDI platforms).
Working knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and tunneling/overlay technologies (VXLAN, IPSec, GRE).
Experience with network automation or configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Bash).
Familiarity with test automation frameworks (STB Tester, Selenium, Appium).
Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation and operational tracking.
Certifications (Preferred)
Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent
Network+ or similar foundational networking certification
What We Offer
A hands-on, high-impact role supporting the backbone of WBD’s global streaming operations.
Exposure to a diverse mix of technologies — from consumer electronics to enterprise-grade data center systems.
A collaborative environment with a strong engineering culture and opportunities for technical creativity.
Autonomy to take ownership of large, complex environments and make meaningful contributions to their evolution.
A globally distributed team that values mentorship, innovation, and continuous improvement.
