Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise network and security infrastructure. This position involves advanced engineering tasks, architecture planning, and acting as a subject matter expert for complex network solutions. 
 

You Will Make an Impact By:

Design & Architecture  

• Develop and implement network architecture for LAN, WAN, and cloud connectivity. 
• Design secure network solutions leveraging firewalls, VPNs, and zero-trust principles. 

Advanced Engineering  

• Configure and optimize:  

• Firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper 

• Secure Access: Prisma Access, Z-Scaler 

• Switching & Routing: Cisco, HP Aruba 

• Implement advanced security policies and segmentation strategies. 

Performance & Reliability  

• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning. 

• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. 

Collaboration & Leadership  

• Act as SME during major incidents and escalations. 

• Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers. 

• Work closely with security and cloud teams for integrated solutions. 

Documentation & Compliance  

• Maintain detailed network diagrams and configuration standards. 

• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. 

Skills You Bring:

• Expert-level knowledge of:  

• Palo Alto Networks (including Panorama) 

• Cisco routing and switching (including advanced protocols) 

• Prisma Access and Z-Scaler for secure remote access 

• HP Aruba networking solutions 

• Fortinet and Juniper firewall platforms 

• Strong understanding of firewall architecture, VPN technologies, and zero-trust security. 

• Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible preferred). 

• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN technologies.  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science or related field. 

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering with at least 3 years in a senior/architect role. 

• Certifications highly preferred:  

• PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer) 

• CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert) 

• Fortinet NSE 

• Z-Scaler Certified Professional 

• AWS/Azure Networking Specialty (optional but desirable)
