Responsibilities:
Work on storage related tasks such as volume creation, LUN provisioning and data migration.
Perform provisioning, allocation, migration, and decommissioning of storage resources.
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity utilization; generate and review operational reports.
Perform all maintenance, configuration and deployments to the SAN system.
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the storage area network (SAN).
Interact with Vendor to address critical support activities.
Manage and provide necessary support for all the incidents and meet the SLA’s
Document storage configurations, operational procedures, and change management activities.
Assist in audits, patching, and lifecycle refresh activities
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent experience ( 3 + years) in large Storage Environment
The ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical.
EMC Storage Knowledge is the key for this role as we have EMC storage arrays like Powermax, Powerstore, Powerscale(Isilon) and ECS.
Strong skill in Cisco MDS switch management which includes ISL confi guration, zoning and troubleshooting.
Organizational skills are required to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Supports recovery efforts in the event of systems failure or disaster.
Strong research initiative, a self-starter at locating relevant documentation, support and process assistance
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with a variety of individuals at all levels is required.
Must possess a solid understanding of software and/or hardware systems used in assigned area.
