Senior Market Research Manager

Position Purpose:
Leads research projects across all lines of business and state health plans. Works collaboratively with Marketing, line of business partners and marketing agencies to develop a deep understanding of business context, recommend, shape and execute research that uncovers market and consumer insights that inform business strategy. Uses a wide range of qualitative and quantitative market research techniques and tools to execute individually and with agencies. Develops and communicates recommendations and actionable business opportunities across all levels within the organization, including senior leadership.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to internal partners to recommend research, interprets results and identifies action steps by leveraging deep business and category knowledge to understand their business needs and goals to ensure research outcomes address those needs are aligne with objectives.
  • Analyzes past research projects to identify areas for improvement in future research efforts.
  • Develops deep business and category knowledge to understand internal partner needs and goals so research outcomes address those needs and are aligned with objectives.
  • Designs and conducts qualitative and quantitative research that shed light on new untapped opportunities and statistically valid direction on member and consumer needs, preferences, attitudes, and behaviors.
  • Selects and leverages relationships with market research agencies to create flawless and insightful deliverables with rich, story driven analysis.
  • Creates and delivers story-driven presentations with thoughtful recommendation for future action that are grounded in keen understanding of business and industry dynamics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau. Experience using marketing workflow and project management tools such as Workfront. Demonstrated ability to learn and or prior use of statistical tools (such as SPSS, R, Python) and statistical methods such as correlation. Experience with online data collection tools such as Qualtrics. 5-7 years leading primary research initiatives and experience leveraging Behavioral Science frameworks to understand consumer decision making preferred.
 

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
