Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to support STL Paint Operations in Berkeley, Missouri.

The Paint Operations Senior Manager will lead an innovative and high-performing team, overseeing the strategic planning, execution and quality assurance of paint operations tailored for Boeing St. Louis Region (Saint Louis, St. Charles, and Mascoutah). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace coatings and have a proven track record of driving operational efficiencies.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities in multiple paint manufacturing areas

• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives

• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Oversight and Ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture

• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years’ experience Painting Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Aerospace or Automotive Paint Application, Paints & Coatings, Inorganic Chemical Processes, Environmental Health and Safety, or Sealants

• 3+ years formal leadership experience

• 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant field

• Lean Six Sigma experience

Additional Information:

• This position requires travel up to 10% of the time

Summary pay range: $134,300 – $181,700 USD
