Reporting to the Director, Compliance, T&I Governance, Execution & Risk Services, this role will manage the governance routines of CNB’s End-of-Life (EOL) program. Responsible for ensuring the compliance of RBC Enterprise and CNB’s addendum Policy and internal Standards, related Regulatory and industry compliance standards, to support the identification and mitigation of Technology Infrastructure regulatory risk and compliance operational issues and assist in the maintenance of operational governance procedures.

Lead the creation and maintenance of the EOL procedures, including process documentation. Perform complex internal control monitoring and testing for EOL, supporting various infrastructure technologies/ domains while adhering to an established schedule and alignment with internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations. Success in this role requires a strong risk and governance background, ability to draw insights from data to inform decisions, and experience developing risk and compliance documentation, while managing competing priorities across a complex environment.

What will you do?

Program Compliance & Governance

  • Support of bi-weekly stakeholder governance forums for Technology end-of-life.
  • Responsible for supporting the creation or uplifting controls, processes, and its associated documentation, that evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of the EOL program controls
  • Recommend changes and/or enhancements to existing processes and procedures, as well as develop the necessary training to drive continuous improvement of EOL management, processes, and procedures
  • Perform periodic internal quality assurance to evaluate the effectiveness of the EOL program controls that mitigate key risk exposures related to regulatory requirements by developing testing process and plan that align to the Bank’s internal controls management policy and standards
  • Assist in developing deliverables for regulatory remediation workstreams, including but not limited to narratives, flowcharts, Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) matrix, Risk and Control Matrix (RCM), to support the identification and mitigation of risks and issues as it relates to the EOL program
  • Champion a thorough understanding of the Bank’s internal controls management policy and standards, control testing methodologies, and related regulatory and compliance standards
  • Maintain governance routines and support ongoing monitoring mechanisms (i.e., KPIs, KRIs) to provide accountability, consistency, and transparency across the program
  • Support the review and approval process of EOL remediation plans as defined in EOL processes and procedures

What you need to Succeed?

Must-Have

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the financial services industry with strong understanding of technology or operational risk, technology lifecycle management, and compliance
  • Experience leading risk compliance and remediation solutions
  • Demonstrated success managing oversight of large-scale remediation programs
  • Strong understanding of process and procedure design, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Analytical mindset with fundamental knowledge of using data to validate outcomes, identify anomalies and surface emerging risks
  • Hands-on experience with IT Asset Management and/or direct involvement in EOL programs is a plus
  • Proficiency with workflow platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent IT Service Management tool)
  • Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work for the greatest impact through effective decision making. Experience in tracking and coordinating large and complex projects.
  • Team player that is deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation, verbal and written with comfort presenting to senior level management and executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and onboard the team on new processes and procedures

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and creative skills with blend of technology and business skills.

  • CISA

  • CRISC
  • Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, MSRB, FRBNY and OCC rules and regulations.
  • Project Management Professional/Program Management Professional (PMP/PGMP) Designation.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000 - $190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
