As a collective team, we develop and deliver enterprise leadership strategies, lead the execution and advancement of RBC’s talent practices, deliver enterprise leadership development programs, and support executive coaching and development. 

As the Senior Manager, Talent Development & Programs, you will work across both our Executive and Non-Executive Development portfolios and be responsible for the design and implementation of new development programs for our executives, senior leaders, and emerging leaders, in line with our broader leadership strategy. In this role you will refine our skills offerings and create elevated development experiences to strengthen and accelerate the capability and confidence of senior leaders at RBC.
  
What will you do?

To help deliver on RBC’s talent development priorities, you will be accountable to:  

  • Design and deliver best-in-class talent development programs that address critical skill gaps and support organizational goals, effectively partnering with teams across the organization to ensure seamless development experiences.
  • Develop solutions that are aligned to RBC’s leadership strategy, focusing on employee experience, human centered design and senior leadership development.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to refine RBC’s talent development principles and build a future focused strategy to accelerate and sustain leadership growth and effectiveness.
  • Manage third-party provider relationships and senior leader coaching bench, ensuring optimal value for stakeholders.
  • Measure the impact and ROI of talent development programs through data analysis, identifying areas for improvement and informing future program design.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by anticipating future leadership needs and expanding our portfolio of offerings. 
  • Proactively offer advice and counsel to HR Business Partners and stakeholders on senior leader and executive development solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and change agent, helping to implement and operationalize key Leadership priorities.

What do you need to succeed?
Must have:

  • Proven track record leading the end-to-end strategy to execution of large programs or initiatives.
  • Experience developing business/talent strategies for large, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders.
  • HR and business acumen, including experience developing learning & development solutions for executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to get things done, meet tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Exceptional relationship skills with a proven ability to build credibility at all levels.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make independent decisions on complex issues in diverse situations.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights to inform decision-making.
  • Knowledge of organizational change management and communication principles to successfully effect change in an organization.

Nice to have:

  • Experience influencing and collaborating with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in employee-centered design activities to define current state employee pain points and map ideal future experience.
