As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to join our Supplier Quality department in our Interiors business. This is a remote opportunity with some travel needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Suppler Quality Engineers based globally and create an environment which maximises team performance and empowers team members.
  • Develop talent within the team. Identify relevant training and development needs of team and deliver training, support, and coaching.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation.
  • Perform and supervise processes related to Supplier Quality initiatives, including supplier qualifications / certifications, assessments, monitoring, escape management, and / or quality issue resolution processes.
  • Perform and supervise processes or standards to support Collins supplier improvement programs, ensuring healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Manage Supplier Quality issues through monitoring / escalation processes, escape management, NOE management, etc.
  • Initiate, track, and verify quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
  • Supervise and perform escape management procedures, drive root cause analysis & problem solving (e.g. 8D) and recommend corrective and preventive action for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers.
  • Analyse quality data to identify systemic issues and develop supplier specific quality initiative strategies and address with key proactive quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans, SPC, etc.), driving their implementation.
  • Supervise and support supplier audit system and perform supplier system and product audits to verify compliance to requirements.
  • Manages supplier quality integration with Collins SBUs and supports site reporting/communication requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • STEM Degree
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in similar leadership role
  • Solid understanding of AS9100, ISO9001 & CAA/EASA Part21G
  • Auditing Experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years working experience in Quality or Engineering gained in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and experience of New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Have significant experience in applying problem solving methodologies e.g. 8D. Lead auditor trained
