The Role:

The Strategy team at Heidrick and Struggles works closely with the executive leadership team (CEO, President, CFO, Chief Legal Officer and CHROROCHCH) and business line leadership to identify and address the company’s most impactful opportunities and challenges to improve Heidrick’s short- and long-term business performance. The Senior Manager will provide quantitative and qualitative analytical decision support on all high priority initiatives, including, but not limited to, annual strategic planning, strategic acquisitions, competitive analysis, and country and offering-level profitability analysis.  The Senior Manager will also project manage selected, high priority business initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, this position plays a key role in shaping the short- and long-term trajectory of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate strategic decision-making: conduct research and analysis to support the strategic planning process – i.e., analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape, evaluate organic/inorganic growth opportunities, etc. – and present clear, evidence-based recommendations to executive leadership
  • Partner with leadership teams: collaborate with senior business, functional, and regional leaders to define priorities, shape strategic agendas, and translate objectives into actionable plans
  • Drive strategic planning and execution: lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with the firm’s global priorities, service line growth goals, and market opportunities
  • Monitor performance and impact: establish metrics and dashboards to track progress of strategic initiatives and inform course corrections as needed
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in a strategy-focused role in a corporation or a leading strategy consulting firm
  • Expert-level proficiency in statistical and financial modeling in Excel
  • Experience creating executive level presentations in PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and creative problem-solving while collaborating effectively as a team player
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences at all levels of the organization, including senior executives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
  • Experience in M&A dilligence and integration
  • Experience working in a global, multi product or service line organization
  • Leadership experience in a professional services organization

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The salary range for this position is 175000 USD to 195000 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills. In addition to your salary, Heidrick & Struggles offers discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Note: we have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
