SUMMARY

The Senior Manager - Strategic Partnerships plays a critical role in developing and growing long-term partnerships with health plans.  This role is responsible for managing internal and external projects pertinent to health plan partners, supporting customer relationship management, supporting financial performance of the partnership, and executing initiatives at the health plan partners that drive performance on the corporate scorecard. The Senior Manager - Strategic Partnerships will work across the organization and collaborate with Belong Health’s operational leadership to ensure partnership goals are met, as well as Belong Health’s organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Relationship Management and Partnership Development
    • Build, nurture, and expand trusted relationships with decision-makers and influencers at health plans 
    • Collaborate closely with sales, implementation, and operations leaders, as well as executive teams to tailor solutions and ensure partnership success
    • Manage and influence relationships of a person devoted to the day-to-day operations of the health plan partnership, and proactively identify people of influence
    • Identify growth opportunities for partnerships by gaining a deep understanding of account needs combined with national and market expertise
  • Cross Functional and Strategic Initiatives
    • Define and execute initiatives key to achieving strategic growth at each account
    • Develop and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs), which align to annual goals, with accompanying quarterly initiatives complete with plans
    • Effectively manage work streams for multiple departments at Belong Health or at the client partner at up to 3 health plan partners that deliver established work stream goals
  • Account Management of established Strategic Partnerships
    • Drive governance forums to achieve partnership goals, advance strategic initiatives, and enhance collaboration
    • Identify core P&L drivers critical to achieve budget and develop related initiatives that achieve budgetary goals at BH and at partner(s)
  • Internal project advancement and alignment with the corporate scorecard
    • Effectively, lead project management or analysis for up to 3 concurrent internal projects that are tied to performance on the corporate scorecard
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May include managing an associate or manager, including recruiting and performance management


REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a project leader at a health plan with demonstrated success in relationship management and leading key initiatives in service-oriented partnerships or solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or Value-Based Care contracting; preference for experience in DSNPs, CSNP and other special needs plans
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently delivering initiatives that enable achieving or exceeding health plan partner performance

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Expertise in high-level executive engagement, including presentations and relationship development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and complaint resolution skill
  • Analytical thinking skills and problem solving with the ability to lead problem solving with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency in technology including project management software, Notion, and MS Office suite, as well as using artificial intelligence in conducting research and automating key skills

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

TRAVEL

This role will require extensive travel (approximately >50%) based on business needs.

SALARY
$130,000-$178,000
