Role Overview

As a Senior Manager, SAP SCM Master data you will assume responsibility for providing functional design and guidance for the Supply Chain Master data process mainly impacted by Material, Bill of Material/Recipe, Batch master, and Change record.  This role will focus on driving the alignment, standards, design, and prioritization of business requirements in partnership with value teams.

You will work with other product managers and delivery leads, to identify areas of master data improvement, determine functional and non-functional needs and implement solutions accordingly. You should be ready to work independently as well as in a team.

What will you do in this role

  • Initiate and drive the development and implementation of SCM master data enhancements.

  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure that data-related business requirements are properly defined and communicated.

  • Analyze current process and recommend system improvements.

  • Review, convey and implement solutions in limited critical timeframes. Effectively adjusts to new, changing, and unpredictable situations; able to learn new things quickly and easily as each acquisition and target company or business line is very different.

  • Oversee cross-functional projects and assist with program wide initiatives if needed.

  • Demonstrates an ability to work in a broad set of roles, in a variety of settings, and with a diverse set of people and/or geographies and functions. Helps others see the connections between different parts of the business.

  • Manage project implementation requirements: Configuration, Unit testing, Integration testing, Documentation, Data Conversion/Migration, End user Support and Training.

  • Conduct workshops to familiarize teams with master data functionality.

  • Ensure adherence to SDLC guidelines, processes, and procedures.

  • Roll out global template solutions for new master data scenarios.

  • Involve in data migration and cutover activities relevant to SCM master data.

What should you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.

  • SAP Life Sciences Industry experience preferred.

  • 7+ years of broad, comprehensive, and experience in Data Governance and/or Data Management.

  • SAP experience in Material Master, BOM & Recipe, Classification, Change record, Revision Level, Document Info Record and Batch Master.

  • S/4HANA expertise and SAP-ECC.

  • SAP Fiori experience.

  • Familiarity with SAP security concepts and experience in implementing security controls desired.

  • Experience with other SAP modules in Supply Chain Management domain or wiliness to learn is welcome.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of end-to-end master data processes, data projects, change control and the interdependencies for SCM master data.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex system issues.

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives and prioritize work. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, competence in clear communication with peers, team members and business users.

  • Excellent English verbal/written communication skills.

  • Experienced with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools preferred.
