The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team:

Overview

We are seeking a data driven, strategic and results-oriented Facilities Category Manager to lead global Facility Category sourcing and supplier management initiatives. This role is responsible for RFP/RFQ execution, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and conflict resolution for machinery & capital equipment, test equipment, environment health and safety (EHS) services, office supplies & furniture, security services, and cafeteria services. This role will drive and support sourcing initiatives, supplier strategy, and value delivery across the global enterprise, working in partnership with the business units, engineering, operations and other key functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong facilities and or operations acumen, industry knowledge, and the technical ability to drive data-informed decision-making and process improvements.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the strategic sourcing process for nonproduct Facilities Labor OSC-led categories, including strategy development, market analysis, supplier negotiations, and implementation.

  • Manage and execute enterprise-wide/corporate level RFPs/RRQs and contracts for multi-year global category strategies for best in class contract lifecycle management. Key commodity areas include machinery & capital equipment, test equipment, EHS services, office supplies & furniture, security services, and cafeteria services.

  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance  

  • Manage and organize spend data to be used in reporting and strategic planning

  • Support external market analyses, identify trends, cost drivers, and innovation opportunities. Use insights to inform future strategy and drive supplier innovation.

  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, leveraging data-driven insights and best in class sourcing practices.

  • Support and collaborate with BU stakeholders, legal, finance, and operations to ensure business alignment and smooth adoption of sourcing strategies

  • Partner with business unit operations, engineering, and human resources to understand requirements and ensure cross-functional alignment

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex sourcing decisions and supplier transitions

  • Lead supplier performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Develop supplier capability roadmaps and drive innovation and sustainability initiatives across the enterprise

  • Follow established sourcing governance, corporate policies, risk management requirements and category playbook to drive enterprise consistency

  • Support cost modeling, benchmarking, and should cost analysis to identify value opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field in operations and minimum 10 years of relevant experience in facilities, procurement or category management or an Advanced Degree and minimum 7 years relevant experience in facilities, procurement or category management.

  • Relevant experience in project management using tools such as JIRA and Confluence for 1+ years

  • Demonstrated cost savings initiatives and minimum 5 years relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated success leading RFPs and negotiating large-scale contracts, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a matrixed organization, influencing with and without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

  • PMP Certification

Work Location

This is a remote role. Eligible candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
