Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to startup and lead Global Quality Frontend Central Quality Assurance (FECQA) team at our new Boise Manufacturing Site. This is a rare opportunity to build a high-performing team from the ground up—driving strategic initiatives, ensuring world-class quality, and shaping the future of Micron’s manufacturing excellence. Your team will serve as the final line of defense for outgoing quality, managing product-level disposition of non-conforming material, and enforcing rigorous governance and compliance across Critical to Quality (CTQ) expectations from inline through Probe.

Job Description Summary

  • Collaborate proactively with F10 site leaders to align and support site objectives while upholding the highest quality standards. Champion strong cross-functional partnerships as a visible leader, serving as the voice of quality and a steadfast guardian of the brand.
  • Recruit and onboard internal talent to form a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Set clear goals, coach for growth, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Provide strong leadership to motivate and inspire the team to achieve high performance. Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Work closely with Fab partners to identify and contain excursion material. Initiate and lead multi-functional MRB (Material Review Board) to conduct risk assessment and decide upon disposition of excursion material.
  • Review and analyze proposed process conversion changes to ensure that the proposed manufacturing changes conform to current business standards, improve Micron’s competitiveness in terms of wafer yields and costs, and protect Micron’s product quality.
  • Engagement in excursion event post mortem, uncover systemic root cause and detection gaps, apply shift left mindset to develop innovative defense line solutions especially in DL4
  • Engage in global alignment teams to identify opportunities for improvements, work as a team to create innovative solutions to enhance overall network capability
  • Early engage in new technology nodes, work closely with Quality Engineering teams to ensure shift-left and seamless transition from New Product Introduction (NPI) to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry in the areas of Yield/Test Enhancement, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering or Process Integration.
  • Proven experience in team development, project management, or a similar role.
  • Think and communicate clearly in urgent and stressful situations.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with Micron QA functions, systems, processes, and quality culture is a strong advantage.
