Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public affairs activities that align with business objectives
  • Manage collaboration with key political stakeholders and represent Novartis in industry associations
  • Prepare briefings for senior leadership and develop position papers and policy briefs
  • Proactively monitor and analyze political and regulatory developments relevant to the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Legal, Medical, and Commercial teams

Essential Requirements

  • Several years of experience in public affairs and policy on either corporate or agency side or within the government or administration; ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Deep understanding of Austria’s political and healthcare systems, including regulatory and legislative processes and market access.
  • Proven ability to build alliances and engage with high-level stakeholders at both federal and regional levels, including government, parliament, and the social insurance sector.
  • University degree in political science, law, communications, public health, or a related field.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)

What we offer

For this position the minimum salary is € 69.662 /year (on a full-time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies. 

We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
