Job Summary

This role supports the FP&A team in delivering high-quality financial analysis, planning, and reporting. The Senior Manager will play a key role in driving performance insights, supporting business planning cycles, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.

The Job

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across business units
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports including APE, VNB, NB CSM, OPEX, and CRE
  • Monitor and interpret key performance indicators such as OPAT, NPAT, CTE, etc.

Expense Management

  • Track and analyze expenses (including OPEX/CRE/Investment expenses) across departments
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support expense control initiatives
  • Ensure alignment of expense reporting with budget targets

Business Performance Support

  • Provide timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making by senior stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of business plans and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with actuarial and distribution teams to align financial assumptions and projections

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure financial reports meet internal control standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HKRBC, IFRS 9/17)
  • Contribute to transformation initiatives to enhance reporting quality and automation

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with Group Finance, local management, and external auditors as needed
  • Support ad hoc analysis and presentations for CFO, CEO, and Group Office

The Person

  • Proven experience in FP&A, preferably in insurance or financial services
  • Strong understanding of HKRBC, IFRS 9, IFRS 17
  • Track record of leading financial transformation and reporting initiatives
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks and a proactive approach to shaping their development
