Under the general direction of the Senior Director, Finance & Pricing, the Senior Pricing Manager is responsible for pricing strategies & execution for our Health Systems & Government Services (HGS) customer portfolio. Recommends and contributes to improved strategies in order to increase margins and sales. Responsible for the impact of pricing decisions and the monitoring of customer behavior.
Responsibilities
Manages pricing and sell side margin for assigned therapeutic classes of products.
Monitors trends related to the pricing of the product portfolio to apply past experience to current scenarios.
Maximizes the use of sales, third party leakage data, competitive benchmarks, reimbursement data and product knowledge to determine optimal pricing.
Evaluates current business processes and recommends improvements that increase effectiveness of pricing strategy.
Collaborates with commercial team to ensure consistent execution to stated strategy.
Continuously monitors results of pricing decisions.
Creates pricing dashboards and associated metrics for routine executive presentation including the communication of conclusions and recommendations.
Collaborates on competitive intelligence gathering process and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Creates recommendations for new product pricing and monitors pricing post-launch to draw conclusions for future events.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance
Minimum of ten (10) years in Accounting/Finance-related fields including exposure to modeling and FP&A concepts and at least five (5) years at a manager level.
MBA or CPA preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Outstanding knowledge of various financial management areas such as financial statement analysis, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis
Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to apply the appropriate tools and level of analysis to specific situations
Experience in leading high performing teams and developing associates to their max potential
