Introduction:

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support the IP Licensing, Custom silicon and Software & tools businesses within MIPS.

This role is central to driving operational discipline, forecast accuracy, and strategic financial insights across a complex, high-growth technology portfolio.

The ideal candidate has deep FP&A expertise, experience supporting engineering or product organizations, and the ability to connect financial performance with key business drivers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Drive end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for business units spanning IP licensing, Custom Silicon and Software & tools
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to evaluate new R&D investments, manage profitability, and support pricing decisions.
  • Performance Management: Lead monthly close and management reporting; provide insights on revenue, margins, and OPEX variances versus plan.
  • Modeling & Analytics: Build dynamic financial models to assess NRE contracts, licensing renewals, and product-level margins.
  • Governance & Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, capital policies, and accounting standards under IFRS
  • Collaboration: share and learn best practices with finance teams supporting other business units to ensure consistency and continuous improvement

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA, Chartered Accountant or relevant master’s degree
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience ideally in semiconductors, IP licensing, or complex technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition concepts, OPEX management, and capital planning.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency (SAP, Anaplan, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with experience supporting executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and leading cross-functional FP&A initiatives
