Position Overview
This role is in person at our Denver, CO, office and will require occasional travel.
The Senior Manager, Executive Services – Physical Security will serve as the senior on-site leader responsible for managing and maturing the physical security and executive services programs at Vantage Data Centers’ Colorado One (CO1) headquarters in Denver, Colorado. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the headquarters operates in its most secure, compliant, and mature state through consistent quality assurance, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.
In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and launching the enterprise-wide Executive Services and Journey Management Program, defining its scope, framework, and long-term strategy. The Senior Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party security partners to facilitate executive protection operations, special events, and corporate travel security. When required, this individual may provide direct close protection to senior executives or coordinate physical security for high-profile company functions.
This role will also play a key role in supporting and advancing Vantage’s Threat Management Program, working in close coordination with the Threat Management Team to ensure alignment between executive protection, journey management, and enterprise threat mitigation strategies. The Senior Manager will assist in developing and implementing response protocols, risk assessments, and case management processes that enhance the overall resilience and safety posture of Vantage’s executives and global operations.
The selected candidate will be expected to be on-site daily when not traveling to support the business’ needs. This is not a remote position.
Essential Job Functions
Physical Security Operations – CO1 Headquarters
Oversee all day-to-day physical security operations and personnel assigned to the CO1 headquarters.
Manage the on-site guarding program, ensuring service excellence, adherence to contract standards, and continuous quality improvement.
Conduct periodic audits and quality assurance inspections to confirm systems, procedures, and personnel are performing as designed.
Serve as the primary liaison to Property Management, Landlord, and Facilities to maintain alignment with Vantage physical security requirements.
Coordinate with local law enforcement, first responders, and emergency services to strengthen partnerships and enhance site readiness.
Ensure all security systems, including access control, video surveillance, alarms, and visitor management, are fully operational and compliant with company standards.
Executive Services, Threat Management & Program Development
Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Vantage Executive Services and Journey Management Program, establishing clear short-term and long-term objectives.
Partner closely with the Threat Management Team to align executive protection, travel risk management, and threat response protocols.
Assist in the continued development and maturity of the Threat Management Program, contributing to policy creation, assessment protocols, and executive risk reviews.
Develop operational frameworks, SOPs, and governance documentation supporting executive protection and journey management initiatives.
Coordinate with HR, Legal, Corporate Communications, and other internal partners to ensure program alignment with corporate priorities and governance standards.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors for executive protection, travel risk assessments, and close protection support.
Conduct site advances, threat assessments, and logistical planning for executive travel and corporate events.
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding protective operations, travel risk mitigation, and threat response.
Executive & Event Support
Coordinate and oversee physical security for corporate events, executive offsites, and visiting delegations.
Lead or support close protection details for Vantage executives as appropriate.
Serve as an on-site security liaison during events or visits requiring heightened security presence.
Develop and maintain playbooks and readiness plans for executive movements, special events, and emergencies.
Program Maturity, Reporting & Leadership
Develop and maintain program metrics and maturity models to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the CO1 physical security and executive services programs.
Provide briefings and reports to the Senior Director, Physical Security Operations, and executive leadership.
Identify opportunities to enhance technology integration, vendor performance, and program delivery efficiency.
Foster a culture of security awareness, professionalism, and service excellence throughout the organization.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate security, executive protection, or physical security management.
Proven experience developing and implementing executive protection, threat management, or journey management programs within a corporate or government setting.
Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or federal protective services is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership presence and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
Deep understanding of physical security operations, protective intelligence, and threat assessment methodologies.
Experience managing vendor partnerships and service contracts.
Excellent decision-making, situational awareness, and operational problem-solving under pressure.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
Additional Requirements
This position is based full-time at the Denver, Colorado headquarters.
Expected travel: 30–50%, including domestic and potential international travel.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain required security clearances.
Availability outside standard business hours may be required to support executive movements, events, or crisis response.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
