What is the opportunity?

As Senior Manager, Everyday Rewards and Linked Loyalty, you will collaborate with Everyday and Premium Rewards teams within the Cards and Loyalty business, Finance and Enterprise Decision Support to drive profitable growth through insightful business and financial analysis. With strong financial modelling skills and exceptional business acumen, you will support the business in forecasting, planning and analysis (FP&A).  As the primary finance partner for the Everyday Rewards business, you will also develop business cases and analytical frameworks to guide business decisions.

What you will do?

  • Responsible for full P&L FP&A related activities supporting Everyday Rewards and Linked Loyalty Partnerships
  • Build and foster strong interpersonal relationships with the VPs and Senior Directors of Everyday Rewards and Premium Rewards, supporting both in key financial decisions that will shape the future of Rewards and Linked Loyalty partnerships at RBC
  • Partner with the Everyday and Premium Rewards businesses delivering analysis and insights to support business case development, profitability analysis, and program/partnership performance.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the Bank on key partnerships and initiatives ensuring all financial modeling, planning, and reporting work streams are aligned and delivering all identified requirements.
  • Supporting Quarterly Governance packages and presentations for key Grocery, Gas and Retail partners
  • Proactively oversee the reporting and analysis of Linked Loyalty financial trends relative to business drivers / performance metrics,
  • Increase transparency in cost structure and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and drive cost savings
  • Proactively explore and implement opportunities to improve processes and increase capacity
  • Accountable for all month-end, quarter-end reporting, and forecasting / planning FP&A related activities
  • Responsible for establishing key performance monitoring activities to track progress against key milestones and proactively identify profitable strategies to exceed targets.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent with 5+ years work experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Cards and Loyalty programs
  • Strong technical business case financial modelling skills and experience with data analytics and business partnering capabilities
  • Working in a matrix model, execute with a high degree of collaboration with partners and effectively influence stakeholders resulting in a better outcome via strong interpersonal skills and trust
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities within tight timelines, navigate through change management and clearly communicate priorities and desired outcomes to their team and partners
  • Understanding of finance theory / application; understanding of financial / statistical concepts and approaches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills; effective communicator and ability to influence and defend recommendations.
  • Previous track record working in a financial institution

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Payments, Networks, and Credit Cards
  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Thinkcell, EPM, PeopleSoft, SQL
